Gastro-Rallye West
How the West was won!
West Berlin is all about sophistication and has a pedigree of glamour that stretches back all the way from Greta Garbo and the Roaring Twenties to the dirty rock’n’roll excess of the Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, David Bowie and Nick Cave in the crazy seventies and eighties. After the Wall fell, it was all about the East Berlin hip districts of Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg, but now West Berlin is reclaiming the spotlight as an historical and culturally relevant destination. The sweeping, glamorous boulevard of Kurfürstendamm is once again on the radar of foodies thanks to its many truly fabulous restaurants.
The Gastro-Rallye West takes place in the up-market neighbourhoods of Charlottenburg and Wilmersdorf. You will explore West Berlin's unique culture and history with your private lifestyle guide and visit restaurants that reflect the fine dining scene in the West – from local neighbourhood bistros with regional food to stylish gourmet temples with distinguished kitchens.
