Seeing, not just looking.
Point. Shoot. Capture. Berlin is a photographer’s dream in perpetual motion, pulling into focus the historic, the urban contemporary, the beautiful, the ugly - wherever you point your lens.
On this combined photographic workshop and urban tour, you’ll get to see a very different side of Berlin through the eyes of a professional photographer, as you are taken on a journey of discovery through cutting-edge “Kreuzkölln”. This is hidden Berlin, far away from the usual tourist traps. The local vibe here is reflective of Berlin before gentrification with interesting vistas, industrial wastelands, prolific street art, cool cafes, restaurants, clubs, bars and shops. It's the perfect place to capture and understand what the essence of this ever-evolving city is today.
However, instead of a digital camera free-for-all, your photographic mission - if you choose to accept it - is thus: we give you a Polaroid camera to capture five quintessential Berlin images - architecture, portrait, urban street life, bar/cafe as well as a group picture. Your professional photographer guide will teach you the latest techniques to further develop your photographic eye and style. He will also help facilitate your own creative ideas, as you discover the neighbourhood’s secrets, tucked-away must-sees and edgy hotspots on this snapshot tour.
Inclusions: private photography guide, use of Polaroid camera, 5 pictures to bring home, sightseeing and lots of insider tips.
